Kathy’s Music Policies
Parent/Student Portal: Each parent and student age 13 and above will be emailed a link to my Parent/Student Portal on MyMusicStaff.com. In this portal you will have the ability to sign up for, cancel or change your lesson time. You can update your profile with current contact information and even Pay Online!
Scheduling: You may change your student's schedule through the Parent/Student Portal or by contacting me directly. If you change your lesson on the Parent/Student Portal to an open time that is within 8 days of your original lesson, I will honor the changes.
Makeup Lessons: Makeup can be rescheduled if there is an open lesson available.
Communication: I prefer communicating via text. If you call, I will ask that you either email or text me after our phone conversation. This way I can look back and see what arrangements we made and update my calendar accordingly. I will NOT answer any phone calls while teaching; however, I could check a text between lessons.
Tuition: There are two options available:
Option A) To reserve your spot on my schedule tuition is $35 for one 30-minute lesson per week with no more than one absence per month unless prior arrangements have been made.
Option B) A pre-paid monthly tuition of $100 per month is available (or pre-paid $30 per lesson). To qualify for the discounted tuition plan, payments must be made prior to the first lesson of the new month.
Payment: Payments can be made through Pay Pal (there is a convenience fee attached to this method - see Parent Portal), Venmo, Cash App, Cash or Check at the lesson. All of these apps have my picture Kathleen Smith or Kathy Smith @musicblessings
Option A: Payment is due at each lesson.
Option B: Payment is due by the first lesson of each month. If payment is not received by the first lesson of each month and other arrangements have not been discussed, your spot may be forfeited and made available to other students.
Cancellations: Online cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. If you are unable to make your scheduled lesson time within 24 hours of the lesson, please contact me via text or phone message.
If I must cancel a lesson outside of the listed holidays, I will do my best to provide a sub or find a scheduled make-up time. In the event of severe weather or emergencies, I will post information on the Parent/Student Portal and/or attempt to send out messages via text or e-mail.
